Accomplished, yet not so accomplished.

Friday was my college graduation ceremony!

I have never felt so accomplished in my life (besides giving birth to three beautiful children). It took me 26 years to figure my life out and to finally finish something completely. There were many times I changed majors, quit school, came back. I wanted what ever it was that I was going to do for the rest of my grown life to be something I was going to love and I can't tell you how much I'm passionate about massage therapy and healing.

However, I'm always taking care of others and not myself.

Even though I'm slowly starting to make some major and different life choices, some of those which are completely foreign to me, I can't help but feel somewhat unaccomplished when it comes to my weight loss and training. When I saw the photos from graduation later on that night, I couldn't help but be completely and utterly horrified! My face looked even bigger than it ever has. Granted my diet is still a struggle. I will do good for a while and then my cheat day becomes cheat days.

It's not that I'm drinking a lot of sugar loaded drinks and sodas, but I'm consuming a lot of bad carbs (i.e. a lot of bread and pasta). Carbs are my comfort food and to be honest -these foods taste great and sometimes rice and chicken gets a little boring.

I'm making slow progress... but slow progress is better than no progress.
